4pm-4am Description:
This position is responsible for efficient operation of general butter processing equipment, departmental supply and material/product handling, and relief print machine operations.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Follow and comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices.
Verify quality control items such as product weights, coding, packaging, etc.
Maintain proper documentation in all record keeping formats Operate Rothenberg, chipping, bulk packer, and rework equipment at an efficient level to fulfill plant demands.
Serve as relief/support staff for machine operators and print & packaging equipment.
Demonstrate an understanding of the products manufactured and the processes involved.
Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping throughout the plant as needed.
Powered industrial vehicle operations which may include forklifts, scissor lifts, and floor scrubbers.
Backfill to other positions/departments as needed.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Ability to adapt effectively within a continually changing and demanding environment.
Basic understanding of equipment operations, and minor troubleshooting ability.
Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively in order to maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures and company guidelines in order to maintain regulatory compliance.
Able to understand daily production needs.
Education/
Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Food manufacturing, material handling, and forklift operation experience is preferred.
Must be able to maintain a valid forklift operator's license.
